Access the Kickstart scheme to take on young people
Kickstart supports six month paid work placements for young people aged 16-24 years of age. It is available to any employer taking on a young person who is currently claiming Universal Credit. For full details of Kickstart, visit the
Government web pages.
Employers can apply directly to the Government here however there are intermediaries or ‘gateways’ that can provide additional support with the application
process and help to recruit. We are working with the North of Tyne Combined Authority to do this for employers in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland
To find out more about the Kickstart Scheme in the North of Tyne visit their Kickstart web page or if you have any initial questions email SkillsHub and we’d be happy to help.
