What is the Skills Hub?
Watch our short video here to find out more…
The Skills Hub has an events programme, and as part of the events programme we organise free events to help people get closer to work or self-employment, and to help them to overcome barriers.
One-to-one face-to-face appointments with friendly advisers from the partner organisations are available. These can be booked by visiting the Skills Hub, phoning, emailing, or filling out the enquiry form below.
We’re open from Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm.
Careers advice & guidance
Explore your career options with free, impartial and confidential careers advice sessions with the Skills Hub partners. You’ll be able to reflect on your skills, abilities and experience and identify the best career path for you.
Help getting into work and training
From one-to-one support, interview skills, CV tips and referrals onto any courses or training, the Skills Hub partners can help you to get into work, training or any other opportunities to prepare you for work, such as volunteering and work experience.
Business start-up advice
If you’re considering setting up your own business and would like some advice and mentoring, the business start-up appointments which take place on a Wednesday with Millin Charity , PNE Enterprise and Reviving the Heart of the West End will give you the necessary skills to move this forward.
The Skills Hub is usually open from Monday to Friday from 10am – 5pm in Newcastle City Library. However, it is currently closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions.See What's On
