Would you like some support to get into work or training?

In partnership with National Careers Service, we are offering a 4-week programme which will cover:

First Friday of the month (3rd April) – CVs

Second Friday of the month (10th April) – Application forms

Third Friday of the month (17th April)- Interview tips

Fourth Friday of the month (24th April) – Sector skills

 

You are welcome to attend one or more of the sessions above. The sessions run from 10am – 12pm.

How are your interview skills?

Attend a mock interview for the opportunity to put your interview skills into practice, learn from your mistakes and build your self-confidence.

Each interview will last 30 minutes and there will be time allocated at the end for feedback.

Learn My Way, Intro to Office

Perfect for anyone wanting to get a basic understanding of how to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

You will need to know how to use these programmes if you want to work in an office environment. This course will show you; how to edit your CV, use cut and paste options, how to sort a spread sheet and how to present your work on slides.

To complete the course, you must attend all 4 sessions, in the 4th session you will have the option to take an accredited qualification.

Session 1: Tuesday 21st January, 10.30 – 1.00pm

Session 2: Tuesday 28th January, 10.30 – 1.00pm

Session 3: Monday 3rd February, 10.15 – 12.15pm

Session 4: Monday 10th February, 10.15 – 12.15 pm

On receipt of a valid day travel ticket expenses will be paid for each session.

Learn My Way, Basic Computer Training

A brilliant course, supporting you to develop basic computing skills, to help you access and use the internet.

You will develop your confidence in using computers, with excellent feedback from previous courses. Learn how to use a computer, send an email, search the internet for information and attach photos and your CV to emails, etc

It’s a 2 part course: you must attend both sessions to complete the course

Wednesday 8th January November, 10.30 – 1.00pm

Wednesday 15th January, 10.30 – 1.00pm
